Arlington Skatium is a brand new roller skating rink in the heart of Arlington. Located immediately north of Canyon Creek and east of N. Belt Hwy, it’s ideal for skaters who want to enjoy an afternoon or evening out at a good skate slide park with their friends. The space is large, there are plenty of maple tree-shaded spots to hang your skates and there’s even a small basketball court for kids to play on! During the summer months, it’s not uncommon to see lines out the door of Arlington Skatium. With six coasters, tons of family-friendly attractions, and kid-friendly programming, there’s plenty to keep your kids happy. That said, the Arlington Skatium is one of the best roller coasters in the area and a great destination for all ages. With its charming midway, kid-friendly train and delightful skaters, it’s the perfect place to end a day of fun in the Dallas area.

Located in the center of the park, and celebrating its one-year anniversary in 2016, the Carousel is one of the most popular attractions at Arlington Skatium. The carousel was once a real-life model, and its construction is an all-time favorite of roller coaster enthusiasts. The carousel is 685 feet long, twists and turns 16 times, and features 12 different coasters, including the oldest roller coaster in operation in the city, the Skatium carousel.

Amusement parks are all about the rollercoasters, but there’s room for more family-friendly attractions at Arlington Skatium. The Wildcat Hill, located right outside the exit to the Skatium, is a fun, wild hill with tons of twists and turns, including an old-fashioned carousel that kids and adults love to ride. In addition to the Wildcat Hill, the park also features a pair of thrilling log rides, the Timberjack Log and the Backwoods BBQ, as well as a hands-on kids’ area with a ferris wheel and six other rides for the little ones.

Over the summer, the Skatium welcomed its second wooden roller coaster, the Wildcat Hill. To celebrate, the park held its first roller coaster competition, with the winning team receiving a trip for two to the Swiss Alps for a train ride. Now in its second year, the kids’ play area, Adventure Island, is another standout feature at the Skatium. Located just inside the main entrance, Adventure Island offers multiple attractions for the kids, including a water slide, a jungle gym and a climbing wall.

Of course, rollercoasters are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to amusement park rides at Arlington Skatium. Take a ride on the double-decker carousel, get a lift on the most iconic ride in Arlington, or take a spin on one of two ferris-wheel rides.
