The Martin Luther King, Jr. Sports Center- Arlington, Texas is a multi-purpose facility that is home to the Arlington Americans, an all-star baseball team representing the National Pro Fastpitch League. The center was once the home of the American Legion and it is now a museum dedicated to the civil rights leader and his legacy. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Sports Center- Arlington, Texas is located in central Arlington, just a few blocks from the White House. The center is located at 400 South Hayes Street, and it is open to the public from early May through October.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Sports Center- Arlington was once the American Legion Hall, which served as the home of the American Legion for almost 70 years. In 1964, the center changed hands and became the property of the City of Arlington, which has used it as a city park. The center is known for its beautiful grounds, three professional sports teams playing at the stadium, and for its Museum of Baseball, which documents the history of baseball and African-American history.

The nearest major airport to Arlington is the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, about 30 miles west of the center. The local airport, however, is also close to the center, and it is also served by a number of airlines. If you’re coming from the west, take I-35W to Arlington and follow the signs to the center, which is located at the end of the freeway. From the east, take I-64 to Arlington, and then take a right (north) on Hayes Street. From the north, take I-287 to Arlington, and then take a right (east) on Hayes Street.
